For nearly 50 years, The Book – Where Farmers Look has been where farmers turn before they buy — a directory kept on coffee tables, office desks and shop counters across North American farms. Now that reach extends online through FarmPages.com.
Advertise in The Book and your company also gets a FarmPages profile: one advertisement, two ways for farmers to find you. This page explains who it is for, what a listing includes, the reach behind it and how to get started with your regional sales rep.
1 Who It’s For
FarmPages and The Book are built for businesses that sell to farmers and ranchers in Canada and the United States. If farmers buy it, service it or finance it, it likely has a home in one of our 81 directory categories. Typical advertisers include:
- Agricultural equipment manufacturers launching or promoting product lines
- Dealers and distributors serving a province, state or region
- Grain systems, farm building and livestock equipment suppliers
- Parts, service and repair shops, and precision farming providers
- Transportation, finance, insurance and other farm service businesses
Browse the 20 primary categories, from grain systems to livestock equipment and pasture management, to see where your business fits.
2 What a FarmPages Listing Includes
Company profile
A FarmPages page for your business where farmers and agricultural professionals can learn about your products and services, with your contact details and locations.
Category placement
Your listing appears in the directory categories that match what you sell, where farmers browse, search and filter suppliers by location.
Special offers
Post special promotions, seasonal offers, product announcements and rebates. Current offers also appear on the FarmPages Special Offers page.
Launching a new product or running a seasonal rebate? Your FarmPages profile gives you a place to promote it online between print editions.
3 The Reach Behind Your Listing
| Channel | Reach |
|---|---|
| The Book, 2026 print circulation | 154,500 farms across Canada and the United States |
| Canada | 120,422 — including Alberta 36,285, Saskatchewan 28,709, Manitoba 13,014 and Ontario 38,646 |
| United States | 30,022, across states including North Dakota, Montana and South Dakota |
| FarmPages.com directory | 81 category pages and 472 supplier listings |
| Publishing cycle | Published once a year, in January, and kept and used all year |
Online, FarmPages pages are surfacing in Google search results and being cited in AI-generated answers, such as ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews, when farmers ask where to find agricultural suppliers. A listing puts your business inside that directory, alongside the print edition farmers already keep on hand.

6 Listing Your Business: FAQ
How do I get my business listed on FarmPages?
Advertise in The Book – Where Farmers Look. Agricultural companies that place an advertisement in The Book receive access to a company profile on FarmPages.com. Contact the regional sales rep for your area, or use the contact form, and the team will walk you through ad sizes, current rates and the closing date for the next January edition.
Do I need an ad ready before I book?
No. If you don’t have an ad prepared, The Book team will create one for you free of charge. If you supply your own artwork, the ad specs and file requirements are on the mechanical requirements page. Your rep can also help you choose an ad size that fits your budget and message.
Can I promote special offers on FarmPages?
Yes. Participating companies can post special promotions, seasonal offers, product announcements and rebates on FarmPages. Current offers from listed agri-businesses are also gathered on the FarmPages Special Offers page, which gives farmers one place to browse limited-time deals before they call a supplier.
Does advertising buy a spot in FarmPages buyer guides?
No. Buyer guides are written by the FarmPages Editorial Team, and advertisers do not pay for placement inside them. Supplier mentions in guides and on local pages are presented alphabetically and neutrally. Local province pages show FarmPages listings with an address in that province, so being listed is what makes your business eligible to appear.
Good to know: listing information is supplied by your business, so keep your details current. You can request updates through your rep or the contact page. Our editorial policy and listing standards explain how listings and editorial guides are kept separate.
