Romafa Metal Works' story best exemplifies this claim. What started as a small single-man welding, custom design and repair workshop in 2012 is now one of the premier producers of stainless air-seeder parts in North America. The company's growth was fueled by a simple yet powerful approach — listening to clients. “Since day one, we have collaborated closely with dealers and farmers, carefully listening to their insights and integrating their ideas into our products,” says Ronald Kornelsen, founder and owner. “Even though we have technical education and engineers on the floor, we still think that the farmer handling the product knows a lot more than anyone else."
Today Romafa produces quality OEM compatible parts for a wide range of makes and models of air carts, including John Deere, Case IH, New Holland, Horsch, and others. Romafa produces a wide range of parts – everything from meter housings, in-tank components, seed delivery tubing, couplers & manifolds to innovative new products like the complete manifold for John Deere carts, which replaces all the individual components below the meter housing with one easy-to-install unit, significantly reducing hassle and maintenance costs. Other innovative products include an aftermarket section control system for the John Deere 1900 & 1910 carts as well as the 50 series CNH carts. Romafa field tested a range of different stainless steel tube conveyors this past year, and is looking forward to bringing more different models to the market over the coming months.
